AMMODET
Wax/Finish Remover - Heavy Duty Liquid Detergent

Ammoniated

Removes all floor waxes and emulsion floor finishes including metallized, detergent-resistant finishes. Recommended also for general maintenance cleaning.

To Remove Floor Waxes & Finishes

Use 2 to 10 ounces per gallon of water depending on the number of coats on the floor and the detergent-resistant properties of the wax or finish. Hot water helps but is not necessary.

Apply solution and let stand 2 to 5 minutes. Scrub with stripping pad or brush. Pick up solution and rinse with clear water.

Apply to an area of suitable size with mop, autoscrubber, floor machine with solution tank, or any other convenient method. Make sure all parts of the area remain wet for 2 to 5 minutes. If automatic scrubber is used, apply with vacuum pickup off.

While still wet, scrub with a pad or brush that is aggressive enough for quick, thoro-removal but will not harm the floor material. Coarse floor pads are satisfactory for most jobs, 'nylo-grit' brushes or special 'buildup removal pads' may be used on some floors; bassine brushes are effective on some waxes but less effective on detergent-resistant metallized finishes such as Permakote.

Pick up with mop or vacuum or squeegee or autoscrubber; in rare cases, flushing with hose may be possible. Rinse thoroughly and let dry before recoating.

Vertical Surfaces

Apply full strength. Ammodet is thick enough to cling to vertical and overhead surfaces but thin enough to penetrate small crevices.

Use to clean coves, mop boards, kick plates, chair legs, file bases, and exhaust vents and similar surfaces where a thin liquid would run off. Apply with a paint brush or similar tool. Let stand until Ammodet has penetrated the dirt; check penetration by scraping with finger nail or a small piece of wood or a screw driver. Scrub with suitable tool, wife off dirt and rinse with clear water.

When used full strength over any considerable area, provide ample ventilation to pre-vent excessive inhalation of ammonia.

Other Applications

Ammodet is an excellent detergent for many maintenance applications. At normal use dilutions of 1 to 10 ounces per gallon of water, ammonia odor is apparent but not irritating to most people. Suggested uses are:
