CARDISOLV #SGR
Spot & Gum Remover

Liquid for removing grease spots and oil-soluble stains from carpets, upholstery, clothing and other fabrics. An "Oil-Soluble" stains include grass stains and most food stains.

Use On The Following Materials

and other Synthetics

Before using any spot remover on fabrics, test for color fastness by trial in an inconspicuous place. Use WITH CAUTION on rubberized fabrics.

Also excellent for removing grease spots, oil-soluble stains and chewing gun from wood, cork, concrete, terrazzo, marble, magnesite and similar hard surfaces. Use WITH CAUTION on leather, varnish or lacquer. DO NOT USE on asphalt tile, rubber tile, or plastics.

Because of its bulk packing, Cardisolv #SGR is much more economical than spray cans of spot remover; use particularly when large quantities of tracked-in road oil, road tar, or black top sealer must be removed.

Cardisolv #SGR is ready for use as received; no mixing is required, do not dilute.

Carpets - Upholstery - Clothing

Apply with a cloth, a brush, or a sprayer. If necessary, scrub lightly with a cloth or a brush. Blot dry with a clean, white cloth.

Hard Surfaces

Apply with a cloth, a brush or a sprayer, or pour directly on the soil. If necessary, scrub stains with a cloth or a brush; remove softened gum with a putty knife. Wet a clean cloth with Cardisolv #SGR and wipe clean. The surface will dry in less that a minute.

Note

Solvent-type removers such as Cardisolv #SGR are effective only on oil-soluble stains. Water-soluble stains are removable with a detergent such as Lustreen. If a stain or spot is know to be water-soluble, such as coffee, tea, or soft drinks, remove with a Lustreen solution. If a stain or spot is not removed by Cardisolv #SGR, it is probably a mixture of oil-soluble and water-soluble soils; remove any remaining soil with a Lustreen solution.

Properties

Clear, colorless liquid with a strong solvent odor. Non-Flammable. Very fast evaporating. Use with adequate ventilation to avoid excessive inhalation of vapor. See "Solvent Safety & Properties" for general information on use of solvents and the significance of properties.
